International scholarship opportunities offered by Government of Canada

The Government of Canada provides a variety of scholarship programs for international students. Funded by Global Affairs Canada, these scholarships support short-term undergraduate and graduate students pursuing research or course-based exchanges at Canadian institutions.

CTA collaborates with the Government of Canada to manage three of these scholarship programs:

Emerging Leaders in the Americas Program (ELAP)

Open to students and researchers from Mexico, Central America, South America, and the Caribbean.

Canada-ASEAN Scholarships and Educational Exchanges for Development (SEED)

Available for students of ASEAN member state: Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos (Lao People’s Democratic Republic (Lao PDR)), Malaysia, Myanmar, The Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, or Vietnam.

Study in Canada Scholarships (SICS)

Open to students and researchers from specific countries in Asia, Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, and Sub-Saharan Africa
